As an EBS Support Engineer, you will be responsible for EBS Support Engineer Application & Database. The ideal candidate should possess strong DBA skills to successfully deliver key projects related to upgrades and EBS deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enforce database policies and procedures, focusing on high availability, replication, archiving, access, and security.
• Create and implement SOPs for Oracle EBS application software installation and configuration, including high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Communicate effectively with client contacts.
• Install and configure Oracle EBS environments R12.2.X, RDBMS 19c, and 12c.
• Configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and perform performance tuning, cloning, patching, and upgrading of Oracle EBS applications to ensure smooth business operations and administration.
• Utilize tools like adpatch and adop to troubleshoot Oracle EBS issues and integrate Oracle Access Manager/SSO.
• Perform DBA tasks, including patching, backup, recovery strategies, upgrading, and performance tuning/optimization of Oracle EBS systems.
• Maintain a multi-node e-Business Suite environment with a shared file system, managing concurrent managers, programs, and troubleshooting workflow mailer/notification issues.
• Set up SSL, load balancer for multi-node applications, WebLogic console, JVM tuning, and other Oracle EBS maintenance scripts.
• Manage Oracle RAC architecture to maintain a clustered database, ensuring performance, scalability, and resilience with Oracle ASM and CRS in a Linux OS, and utilize Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) and Data Guard for backup and disaster recovery.
• Use OAM & OEM Grid Control for proactive system monitoring and notification.
• Develop PL/SQL packages, shell, and Perl scripts for task automation, and perform database upgrades/platform migration.
• Conduct health checks for Oracle EBS environments and automate scripts for database/application analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of Oracle 19c/12c database administration, maintenance, security implementation, upgrade, and patching.
• Proficiency in database performance tuning, sizing, capacity planning, backup, and recovery in a Unix OS using RMAN and Oracle export/import utilities.
• Experience with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of multi-node Oracle RAC-enabled databases, including Oracle ASM and CRS management.
• Knowledge of PL/SQL packages, shell, and Perl scripts for task automation, and proactive database monitoring using Oracle OEM Grid Control.
• Experience with cloud migrations (AWS/Azure/OCI) for database platforms.
