The Feast Lab at Massey University’s School of Food Technology and Natural Sciences is inviting applications for a full-time, 12-month fixed-term Research Officer position. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research within the Consumer Dimensions of Future Foods projects. The successful candidate will work closely with Professor Joanne Hort and the research team, contributing to the lab’s culture of research excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research in consumer and sensory science, focusing on future food projects.
• Utilize quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze sensory and consumer data.
• Manage and execute consumer sensory studies.
• Prepare manuscripts and report research findings.
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or PhD in Food Science/Technology or a related discipline preferred.
• Experience in sensory and consumer science research, including study execution and reporting.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a research team.

Salary: $81,172 – $103,595 (NZD), negotiable based on experience.
