Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time Python Developer for an on-site role at GoAcademy International in Chennai. The successful candidate will be responsible for back-end web development, software development, object-oriented programming, and database management. This role involves developing and maintaining Python-based applications to support our research and writing services.

Qualifications

• Experience in back-end web development and software development

• This position offers remote work flexibility but requires candidates to be based in Chennai.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Python code for academic research projects.
• Collaborate with researchers and academic staff to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Implement data analysis, machine learning models, and simulations as required by the project.
• Document code and processes to ensure reproducibility and transparency in research.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in Python programming and related technologies.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python programming with a strong understanding of core concepts.
• Experience with libraries such as NumPy, pandas, matplotlib, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
